Job description

Orano USA is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer II to support Project IKE. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and evaluation of structural systems for nuclear facilities. Under general supervision and reporting to the Civil/Structural Engineering Lead, the engineer will contribute to infrastructure development and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis and design for foundations, supports, and facility structures.
  • Prepare and review drawings, calculations, and specifications.
  • Support construction activities and resolve field issues.
  • Ensure compliance with seismic, wind, and load-bearing requirements.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical documentation.

Ideal qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Civil or Structural Engineering, plus 2-3 years of experience.
  • Advanced degrees or PE license may substitute for experience or education.
  • Must be eligible for security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with nuclear facility design.
  • Proficiency in structural modeling software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000).
  • Knowledge of ACI, AISC, and ASCE standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, walk, kneel, and crouch as needed.
  • Regular use of a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
