We're hiring a Per Diem Dermatology Technician III - a role that combines advanced clinical skills with meaningful patient interaction. You'll work closely with Dermatologists, assist with procedures, scribe medical documentation, and help ensure exceptional care experiences.

What You'll Do:

As a Per Diem Dermatology Technician III, you'll play a critical role in supporting dermatology care and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical Support & Procedures

    • Assist with dermatology and cosmetic procedures, maintain sterile fields, and perform suture removal.
    • Administer injectables and phototherapy/excimer laser treatments.
    • Apply patch testing for allergic contact dermatitis and provide patient education on isotretinoin/iPledge.


  • Scribing & Documentation

    • Accurately document patient histories, physical exams, and treatment plans during visits.
    • Prepare and assemble medical records, ensuring compliance and timely updates.


  • Patient Care & Education

    • Room patients, verify allergies, record vitals, and reconcile medications.
    • Perform waived testing (e.g., EKG, glucose), collect and prepare lab specimens, and assist during emergencies.


  • Quality & Safety

    • Maintain OSHA and HIPAA standards, sterilize instruments, and complete QA logs.
    • Monitor supplies, equipment, and ensure a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.


  • Customer Service & Team Collaboration

    • Provide compassionate care, practice mutual respect, and contribute to a positive clinic experience.
    • Support process improvement initiatives and uphold Kelsey-Seybold's mission and values.





What We're Looking For:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
  • 8+ years of directly related experience as a Medical Assistant with Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant and Dermatology Medical Assistant Certification Or 9+ years of directly related experience as a Medical Assistant with no Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant and Dermatology Medical Assistant Certification
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and patient care protocols



Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience related to department or specialty
  • Ambulatory Care experience
  • EPIC experience
  • Windows-based computer skills



Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.74 to $31.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
