Job Title: Senior Grants Specialist

Position Overview:
The Grants Specialist supports the full lifecycle of grant management, including proposal development, submission, tracking, and compliance-particularly for federally funded programs such as SAMHSA and the 988/Lifeline initiative. This role ensures high-quality, timely, and compliant grant submissions and reporting while contributing to the organization's strategic funding efforts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support the development, submission, and tracking of grant proposals, amendments, and reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with funder guidelines.
- Draft, edit, and coordinate the preparation of proposal narratives, work plans, budgets, and reporting documentation in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of grant funding policies, regulations, and federal compliance requirements (e.g., 2 CFR Part 200).
- Track grant deliverables, deadlines, and milestones using internal systems and tools; maintain organized and accurate records of all grant activities.
- Assist with the procurement of goods and services related to grant-funded projects, ensuring alignment with internal policies and federal grant requirements.
- Coordinate the development, review, and tracking of vendor contracts, consultant agreements, and subrecipient documentation; ensure timely execution and compliance.
- Monitor contract and procurement deliverables, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure obligations are met.
- Liaise with Finance, Legal, and Program teams to support grant and contract-related processes, including budget alignment, documentation, and audits.
- Participate in weekly check-ins with the Grants Manager to provide updates, flag issues, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Engage in professional development activities, including diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) training and relevant grants or procurement workshops.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Professional, collaborative, and high emotional intelligence
- Interest in mental health or nonprofit sector preferred
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience considered
- 5+ years supporting federal grant administration
- 1+ years of experience with procurement/contracts a plus
- Familiarity with federal grant lifecycle and reporting
- Basic knowledge of 45 CFR Part 75 and 2 CFR Part 200
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Will frequently communicate over video calls with internal and external stakeholders.
**This role is endowed/subsidized through July 2026, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding**
