As a Airport Security Officer in Kailua Kona, HI, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure airport environment by monitoring airport premises, conducting security patrols, and enforcing access control procedures. Position Type: Part Time - Morning/Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

21 + Years of Age
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Must also have the ability to pass a federal background check for DOT

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences at the location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter inappropriate behavior and provide a point of contact for people needing assistance.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
