POSITION SPECIFICS The Office of Research Protections (ORP) at Penn State seeks a qualified candidate with a demonstrated commitment to leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration to serve as Conflict of Interest (COI) Analyst. As a member of the Office for Research Protections, you will be joining a team of individuals who have the ambition to help Penn State succeed. Penn State's annual research expenditures for fiscal year 2024-25 reached a record $1.44 billion, marking an 8% increase from the previous year, while its academic health center and system - Penn State Health - serves over 2.8 million residents. The Conflict of Interest (COI) Analyst is responsible for managing institutional COI processes (Penn State Policy AD83) and individual, research-related COI processes (Penn State Policy RP06). This role is housed within the Office for Research Protections (ORP) at Penn State and reports to the COI Program Assistant Director. The Analyst collaborates with fellow COI Analysts, the COI Coordinator, ORP staff, and other university offices involved in research compliance. Regular interaction with the COI Director ensures policy alignment, updates on complex or high-risk cases, and support for strategic COI initiatives. While responsibilities may shift with evolving needs, this position is expected to support both Institutional COI and Individual Research COI processes. Key Responsibilities:

Work Arrangement: The location of this position is flexible and can operate fully remotely within the United States. Standard working hours are in the eastern time zone. MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneBACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
