As a Security Officer - Media Campus Patrols in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a leading tech-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for people and property. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm and problem-solving approach, assisting in maintaining a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or property damage encountered during patrols, following established communication protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and site contacts to address concerns related to security-related matters within the tech and media environment.
• Participate in site-specific training sessions to remain up to date on policies, emergency response procedures, and new protocols relevant to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
