Security Officer - Education Patrol

As a Security Officer - Education Patrol in Atlantic City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming atmosphere at an educational location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, remaining highly visible to those on site, and assisting students, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or situations that may require attention.
• Support the educational environment by assisting students, staff, and visitors with directions or information as needed.
• Document and communicate all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to the campus community.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
