Job Description




As a Security Officer - Utility Patrol Driver in Fountain, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a utilities location. In this primarily driving role, you will interact with staff and visitors, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to situations as they arise. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, documenting and reporting as necessary.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor for any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns within utility operations and infrastructure areas.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and/or visitors to address questions, provide assistance, and help to maintain a secure environment.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards or security-related issues unique to utility locations and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and documentation related to patrol activities, incidents, and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • A guard card or equivalent license is preferred.
  • A primarily driving post is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
