Job Summary:
The Instructional Designer develops and delivers effective learning interventions, including instructor-led training (ILT), on-the-job training (OJT), and e-learning courses, following Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodology. This role involves analyzing knowledge and skill requirements, collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs), and designing instructional materials that enhance employee performance and organizational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop instructor-led, on-the-job, and e-learning training programs using ISD methodology.
- Conduct needs analyses to identify knowledge and skill gaps and define learning objectives.
- Collaborate with SMEs and other designers to ensure content accuracy and instructional quality.
- Develop facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions to prepare instructors for program delivery.
- Create performance assessments, evaluation tools, and feedback mechanisms (Levels 1 & 2).
- Observe training sessions, gather feedback, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay current with emerging learning technologies and delivery methods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or certification in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience developing ILT, OJT, and e-learning content.
- Proficiency in applying ISD principles and adult learning theories.
- Experience with analysis tools and building training evaluations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and grammar.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
