Parking and Transportation Services is seeking a candidate to support PM enforcement operations. The selected candidate will be scheduled based on employee availability and departmental needs, primarily between
4:00 PM and 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional
mandatory assignments outside of standard hours, including weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
This position is
designated as mandatory. The incumbent is expected to exercise sound judgment regarding personal safety during adverse conditions and to make a
good-faith effort to report to work in a timely manner when campus operations are affected by weather or other disruptions. |

| Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: |
- Graduation from high school and one year of related office experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a campus environment preferred.
- Experience with Two way radios and use of 10 codes.
- 1 year experience with AIMS enforcement and Genetec Patroller LPR (License Plate Recognition) parking systems preferred.
- 1 year experience with hand-held computer devices or ticket writing equipment preferred.
- Traffic control experience preferred.
- Experience and ability to work with limited supervision.
- MS Office Suite (Word & Excel), Google Docs/Sheets and Gmail; Intermediate skills preferred.
- Proficient in using a computer with ability to learn industry-specific software; accurate computerized data entry is necessary for position.
- Ability to work weekend and outdoors in all weather conditions and temperatures.
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Possess strong customer service skills, with experience working under pressure and remaining calm.
- Possess excellent communication skills - must be able to effectively and concisely communicate both verbal and written.
- Possess a strong attention to detail.

| Duties and Responsibilities |
- Patrolling all campus parking areas by vehicle and on foot.
- Checking vehicles for appropriate parking authorizations using authorized equipment including license plate recognition (LPR) system and handheld devices.
- Act as a campus ambassador, providing general campus information and directions to the campus community.
- Assist in the deployment and retrieval of parking/traffic control devices, such as cones, barricades and signs for reserved space requests and special events.

- Ability to properly operate task-specific equipment such as:
- Handhelds, Samsung Devices and Tablets
- Mobile payment enforcement interface
- Meter equipment
- Parking access and revenue control equipment
- Two-way radios
- Motorized vehicles
- Issuing citations for vehicles in violation of established parking regulations.
- Applying and removing vehicle immobilization devices or coordinating the towing of vehicles as instructed by a supervisor.
- Completing all necessary paperwork related to vehicle immobilization and towing.
- Assisting with pedestrian and vehicular traffic direction in parking lots & facilities.
- Working special events as needed, scanning / screening parking passes, and collecting event parking revenue in the lanes.
- Performs routine parking space audits both manually and through LPR system. Perform routine audits of parking-related signage in lots and facilities.
- Assists in training new, temporary and student PEOs as needed.
- Wash and clean interior and exterior of PEO vehicles, maintaining a clean and professional looking vehicle at all times.
- Accurately completing vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms in a timely manner.
