Counselor (Part-Time)

Location: Shirley, MA - Massachusetts Department of Corrections

Schedule: Part-time. 24 hours a week, Monday-Friday and possibly weekends

Pay Rate: $26.92/hour ($56,000 annually)

The Counselor is responsible for:

• Ensuring that all inmates are provided with education in the assigned curriculum approved by the Department of Correction and are responsible for written documentation in the case records.
• Participating in a multi-disciplinary team meeting on a weekly basis or as directed.
• Working the hours required to meet the business needs of the organization including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week which may include evening and weekend programming

Qualifications:

• BA/MA or 2 years equivalent experience in criminal justice, human services, education or closely related field required
• DOC experience and/or Alcohol/ Drug certification preferred
