Essential Job Duties
The Pharmacy Technician supports the efficient, safe, and patient-centered operation of the Campus Health pharmacy by assisting pharmacists with a wide range of technical and administrative duties.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Processing prescription claims
  • Interpreting and filling medication orders
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Participating in ordering and inventory management
  • Performing vaccinations as authorized
  • Communicating with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to achieve high levels of patient care
  • Fostering a safety-focused pharmacy practice environment
  • Completing other record keeping and administrative tasks as needed

Other Responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications




Minimum Experience/Education

Completion of an accredited nine-month Pharmacy Technician program; or high school diploma or equivalency and one year of pharmacy-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Some positions may require certification as a Pharmacy Technician.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience preparing, interpreting, and filling medication orders in a pharmacy or clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated skill in inventory management, ordering, and maintaining accurate pharmacy records.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and spreadsheet/report creation for tracking, data analysis, and quality assurance.
  • Experience performing or assisting with quality control/quality assurance activities in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with prescribers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.

Required License or Certification

  • PTCB Certification within 6 months of hire if not certified upon hire
