As a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op at AirBorn LLC, a Molex Company, you will have the opportunity to apply your engineering knowledge to real-world manufacturing challenges. You will work cross-functionally to optimize processes, improve product quality, and drive innovation within our manufacturing operations, gaining hands-on experience that will prepare you for a future engineering career.

Our Team

You will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering team within Koch Inc.'s Operations Division. This team focuses on designing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to support efficient, safe, and sustainable production.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to analyze and improve manufacturing processes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Support root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for production issues
  • Help design and test new manufacturing tools, fixtures, and equipment
  • Collect, analyze, and report data to inform engineering decisions and process optimization
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and Six Sigma projects
  • Contribute to documentation including work instructions, process flows, and safety protocols

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and automation technologies
  • Ability to work with data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, MATLAB, or similar)
