Torch is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Missile Defense Systems Engineer/Analyst to support Missile Defense System (MDS) assessments in a collaborative, team-focused environment. This senior role involves advanced technology projects conducted at CTEC and SCTEC, providing independent, government-owned modeling, simulation, analysis, and evidence-based assessments in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

As a Senior Missile Defense Systems Engineer/Analyst your duties will include the following but not limited to:

  • Perform algorithm testing, data generation, modeling, simulation, and analysis for MDA initiatives

  • Evaluate active and passive sensor performance and data fusion methodologies

  • Support multi-sensor tracking and target discrimination algorithm assessment

  • Analyze system-level command and control algorithms and missile defense battle management techniques

  • Lead, mentor, and guide CTEC and SCTEC personnel in research and technical efforts

  • Plan and execute technical projects, including assessment of optical and RF target signatures

  • Present complex technical information and analysis to diverse audiences

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied in professional settings

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-focused environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with computer modeling and simulation

  • Proven experience in algorithm evaluation, target tracking, and trajectory estimation

  • Experience analyzing optical and/or RF target signatures

  • Experience analyzing command and control systems

  • Strong teamwork skills and a sense of humor
