The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager Supply Chain to lead our regional supply chain operations. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment across procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution functions.

***This position will be located in Europe, preferably France or Turkey*** Acquiring work authorization is required.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Supply Chain Leadership

  • Lead the full supply chain lifecycle: procurement, planning, inventory, logistics, and distribution.
  • Align supply chain strategy with business goals to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of explosives and related products.
  • Develop and optimize processes and systems (e.g., SAP) to support regional operations.
  • Manage Trade Working Capital in line with corporate policy.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.

2. Regulatory & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with national and international regulations for handling and transporting explosives.
  • Collaborate with HSE teams to embed safety across all supply chain activities.

3. Inventory & Materials Management

  • Oversee sourcing of key raw materials (e.g., ammonium nitrate, emulsifiers).
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance availability and working capital.
  • Ensure secure and compliant warehousing practices.

4. Logistics & Distribution

  • Design and manage secure transport networks for hazardous goods.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and internal fleet operations.
  • Plan for contingencies and geopolitical risks.

5. Cost Optimisation & Procurement

  • Lead strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives across freight, packaging, and bulk handling.
  • Monitor market trends and supply risks.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in supply chain roles within global or complex environments.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Proven track record in managing supply chain and procurement processes.
  • Experience in the explosives or hazardous materials industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP and supply chain systems.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French or Turkish is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
