Test Engineer
Overview This position in a growing, high profile department is looking for enthusiastic individuals to guide project teams to identify, assess, and mitigate inordinate risks to ensure successful execution of complex tasks. To achieve these goals, the right candidate needs to be a team player with strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills as well as a relentless questioning attitude. This position is primarily located at the Groton facility and may require occasional travel to Quonset Point. This position will engage in both Nuclear and Non-Nuclear construction activities, and will require flexibility in work schedule to include infrequent off shift and weekends to support ship's key events and test programs. Responsibilities of this position include:
Ability to gain knowledge on all facets of the submarine construction processes via research and personal interactions and apply critical thinking to identify areas of risk.
Electric Boat offers Flexible Work Arrangements that allows some work to be performed remotely and at home. This varies from position to position based on the amount of classified material the department interacts with, as well as a few other variables.
