Position Summary This position oversees the development of, implementation of and adherence to the academic and research compliance program for UI COM. Increases awareness of regulatory policies and coordinates programs to promote the observation of University guidelines focused on sponsored research activity, laboratory life-safety standards, and disclosures of outside activity. Duties & Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in business, legal, or public health required. Institutional Review Board Professional Certification (CIP) preferred. Minimum of 5 years of higher education experience, 2 years experience in an academic medical center environment working with physicians and health care providers, and 2 years experience in regulatory compliance. Knowledge and understanding of State and Federal regulatory compliance standards required. Computer literacy required. Working knowledge of policies and procedures related to the protection of human research subjects protections preferred. Strong management skills. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written skills.
