We are seeking
BIM and Civil3D Manager who will serve as a hands-on technical specialist, applying advanced expertise while supporting New York City infrastructure design projects from our Lower Manhattan office. NV5's New York City team operates on a four-day work week and delivers a wide variety of public and private infrastructure projects, including streetscape, roadway, utility, water/wastewater, structural, geotechnical, environmental, private development, and sustainability-focused work.
The BIM/Civil3D Manager will work closely with Project Managers and multi-discipline design teams that are delivering local infrastructure projects. The selected candidate will be a partner to the engineering teams, and act as a technical resource to provide and facilitate BIM-related guidance and support., . The selected candidate will have experience compiling, preparing, and upholding BIM/CAD Standards as it relates to typical engineering workflow, and will provide support to ensure high-quality project delivery. The initial focus for the BIM/Civil 3D Manager will be to build and refine NV5's NYC standard BIM/CAD processes and procedures. The BIM/CAD Manager must have acute attention to detail and the ability to guide others through written, verbal, or graphical means.



Responsibilities

    Support local engineering teams and Project Manager through all phases of BIM-driven project delivery, from project setup to archiving.
  • Coordinate and execute technology-related activities involving BIM and Civil3D.
  • Develop templates, workflows, and standardized BIM and Civil3D content libraries.
  • Collaborate with local Design Leaders to implement project-specific BIM Execution Plans and provide BIM production support across all disciplines.
  • Follow project BIM strategy, perform clash detection, and manage coordination of client BIM deliverables.
  • Execute project delivery tasks to ensure full compliance with established standards, workflows, and quality expectations.
  • Provide day-to-day BIM and Civil 3D support as workload and schedules require.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of BIM standards for the NYC office and Northeast Infrastructure region.
  • Lead multidisciplinary BIM coordination meetings.
  • Implement comprehensive quality control procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project and agency standards.


Qualifications

  • Expert proficiency required with Autodesk BIM software including Civil3D, Navisworks Manage, and the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Proficiency with Bentley BIM software including MicroStation, OpenRoad Designer, and OpenBridge Designer. Proficiency with Infoworks and ProjectWise Managed Workspace is a plus.
  • 8+ years of professional experience using Autodesk software in an engineering or infrastructure design/production environment.
  • Strong understanding of project workflows from preliminary design through construction documentation.
  • Solid understanding of BIM and Civil 3D workflows across civil infrastructure disciplines.
  • Advanced clash detection expertise using Navisworks Manage.
  • Familiarity with NYCDDC CADD standards preferred; familiarity with other NYC agency BIM/CADD standards, such as NYCDOT, NYCDEP, NYC Parks, MTA/NYCT, and PANYNJ, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of model QA/QC processes and best practices.
  • Proficiency with editing and documentation software (Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering preferred, degree in AEC or building trades required.
  • Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work independently, and to manage multiple tasks and projects within scheduled duration.

The pay range for this position in New York City is $80,000.00- $110,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
