Location: Henry Ford Rochester | 1101 W University Drive Rochester, MI Inpatient/Outpatient: 100% inpatient Case Load: 100% Pediatrics / Neonatal Position Overview: Henry Ford Health is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) for a contingent, rotating-schedule position at Henry Ford Rochester. This role provides oversight of our Level II NICU within a strong multidisciplinary team, delivering comprehensive neonatal care including bedside procedures and delivery room attendance. The ideal candidate will be an NNP with current licensure and required certifications (BLS/NRP), skilled in managing Level II acuity, and committed to patient- and family-centered care. This position offers the opportunity to further advance neonatal skills while contributing to a dedicated neonatology team focused on exceptional outcomes. Open to new graduates. Schedule - Rotating and filling in where there are gaps in coverage. Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care with the supervision but not necessarily the presence of a qualified physician member of the medical staff. Takes patient history, performs physical examination, orders and interprets tests, makes diagnoses and institutes appropriate treatment programs. Performs nursing functions independently. Works in collaboration with staff physicians, house officers, nurses and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved in a safe and efficient manner. Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Requires Masters Degree in Nursing; licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner; licensure as a Registered Nurse; BCLS certification; and certification in one of the following: ANA certification exam in a nursing specialty field, National Certification Corporation (NCC), National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Associates, and/or Certification from Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner (NP). Qualifications: * NP - Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) * NP - Certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan Licensure and Certification * Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Michigan, or in process of applying (must have proof of application) * National certification as an NP * NNP Certification. * Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification * DEA/CSL, required through credentialing. DEA - NPs do not have controlled substance licenses. When NPs apply, they will enter MI license number instead of controlled substance license since they won't have a CSL.
