The Payer Market Senior Account Manager is the key relationship conduit and point of contact for an assigned portfolio of Payer clients. The senior account manager is charged with helping execute on strategic account plans to support market growth and profitability in delivering OI Payer solutions to our customers. Where appropriate, the senior account manager will work with team members across Optum Insight, Optum Health, and Optum RX to align on customer plans and priorities. The senior account manager serves as a liaison between Account Executives (AEs) and AMO/Operations teams to ensure alignment and continuity. The role helps drive client retention and growth through proactive relationship management and strategic engagement. You will engage the matrixed teams in support of account objectives for revenue, earnings, growth and client satisfaction. This includes engaging with the sales teams, operations, product, and technology teams, as well as other groups at the Optum level required to deliver upon our client delivery goals and aggressive growth and innovation objectives. Attainment of these business objectives will be achieved through leadership competencies and practices including operational excellence, being the voice of the market, the ability to scale the business, partner in a matrix environment and collaborate across other divisions within Optum. The successful candidate must be passionate about client excellence and delivery and discovering new business opportunities. This leader must be exceptional at working in a fast-paced environment and display stellar executive presence with executives at our clients. This role requires an individual who understands how to get things done at Optum through influence by leveraging extensive interpersonal and collaboration skills. The account manager will have solid critical thinking skills, demonstrated success in account plan strategies, outstanding cross-group organizational skills and agility, and highly effective communication skills (verbal and written). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
