Opportunity as a Doula Program Manager to work with a dedicated team of Women's Services professionals at UNC Medical Center located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina! Our team is seeking someone with experience as a doula plus experience working with programs which produced proven track record of leading teams and producing quality outcomes. With this opportunity, expectations are to lead the Volunteer Doula Program including oversight of all volunteer doula programming, policies, compliance with regulatory requirements, team scheduling, training, data analytics, multidisciplinary team collaboration and quality outcome measures. Additionally, this position is responsible for developing relationships with community Doula Programs and community doulas to enhance the birth experience and birth outcomes at UNC Medical Center. Full time position; 40 hours per week; benefits offered Summary: The Doula Program Manager is responsible for doula care coordination for the hospital-based volunteer doula program and serve as a liaison for community-based doula programs and independent doulas. Responsibilities: 1.Patient Care: Ensures that appropriate care and services are available to patients and families. Facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration in patient care planning within scope of doulas. Ensures appropriate volunteer doula staffing for patient care. Maintains an environment conducive to safe and effective patient care by facilitating multidisciplary collaboration. Attends Labor & Delivery safety huddle regulary and collaborates with nursing staff in the Women's Hospital. Coordinates prenatal teams of doulas referred by providers for high risk clients in need of additional support. 2.Human Resource Management: Effectively coordinates volunteer doulas with collaboration with Volunteer Services leadership. Recruits and onboards volunteer doulas to the program, ensuring mentoring opportunities. Tracks doula compliance and client care and client feedback documentation. Coordinates regular team meetings and individual meetings with volunteer doulas. Leads events to celebrate and recognize the volunteer doula team. Manages doula team scheduling application and ensures availability of doula services and response to team members' needs. 3.Education: Educates staff and providers on doula role and care. Develops educational material for clinical staff, and patients. Provides nursing, MD and APP orientation and education on doula care. Provides outreach education to community in partnership with Womens Health Education Center and community doula leaders and care providers. Develops and publishes regular newsletters for alumni and other supporters of the doula program. Creates regular continuing education opportunities and resources for doula volunteers. 4. Data/research: Coordinates collection and collates outcomes data for doula specific patient outcomes. Facilitates and particpates in process improvement and research projects. 5. Quality Improvement: Facilitates and participates in quality improvement initiatives focusing on doula care and services. Ensures compliance with doula care standards. Maintains program webpages with relevant and up to date information. 6. Accreditation: ensures that internal and external regulatory standards and/or lactation practices are met or exceeded. This includes organizational policy and procedure, as well as, state, Joint Commission, IBCLE, and other accreditation bodies, as applicable.

Other information: Education Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Education, Nursing, Social Work, or related field Licensure/Certification Requirements: * NC RN Licensure with Obstetrics or related Maternal/ Newborn experience OR documented professional training as a birth doula Professional Experience Requirements: * 3 years as a Registered Nurse in Obstetrics OR 3 years as a professional birth doula * Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred * Demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary teams Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required * Highly organized and motivated team member with a passion for doula service and health equity
