Job Description
Kearney & Company is seeking a DEAMS Data Modeler to join our team! The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the Data Analytics Team and interact with DEAMS users in support of the sustainment of the Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS). This candidate is responsible for working with the Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS) Integrated Process Team (IPT) Leads to help ensure the successful sustainment of the Oracle ERP technology and financials modules for DEAMS. Potential candidates must have a robust background in developing and implementing solutions to fully leverage the computational benefits of a Cloud environment. The successful candidate should have experience with a wide range of software development tools and programming languages to enable development across multiple layers of the Cloud architecture. The candidate should have solid functional end-to-end AF Financial Management experience, while experience with the Palantir Cloud Foundry platform is preferred. The candidate will interact with the DEAMS FMO and auditors in support of the interface reconciliation of DEAMS. The candidate will interact with Advana and FASTR developers to implement DEAMS data solutions. Other responsibilities may include:
- Developing strategies to properly ingest DEAMS financial data into the cloud enclaves receiving direct DEAMS connections
- Build solutions within the cloud technology stacks
- Optimize the technology stack to process the raw DEAMS data into actionable financial records within the Advana reporting tools
- Identifying anomalies within the DEAMS to cloud implementation and recommend corrective (preventative) actions
- Incorporating audit-based requirements to fully answer Notification of Findings and Recommendations (NFR) requirements
- Minimizing cloud compute time by balancing the scheduled complex calculations with the required processing capacity for the calculations
- Ability to understand issue and analyze root cause through direct customer interaction; brings expertise to resolve complex issues and communicates with clients effectively in order to resolve customer issues
- Delivering accurate and complete reports of DEAMS data within the cloud environment
- Documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Providing analysis and problem resolution for fixes to reported problems
- Participating in process improvement workshops identifying gaps, and providing solutions to bridge gaps and enhance processes
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience
- Experience developing large data models
- Experience delivering solutions in cloud technology stacks
- Experience with Advana, Envision, or other cloud software enclaves
- Knowledge of DEAMS system, SQL, and Oracle
- Knowledge of Power BI suite
- Ability to create efficient data models using Microsoft Power BI Desktop's in-memory technology
- Understanding of the Department of Defense Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS) and the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL)
- Knowledge of Air Force financial systems such as:
- Automated Funds Management (AFM)
- Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS)
- Financial Management Suite (FMSuite)
- General Accounting and Finance System Base Level (GAFS-BL)
- General Accounting and Finance System Re-Engineered (GAFS-R)
- Ability to obtain a U.S. secret level security clearance (requires US Citizenship)
- Must be willing and able to travel as required

- Bachelor's degree

This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
