Genetic Counselor 2 or 3 C.Genetics S.Mateo/R.Wood City Full Time 86941BR Job Summary The UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center provides multidisciplinary medical and supportive care to patients and their families with Cancer. The role of the genetic counselor is to work closely with the medical providers in the evaluation of patients and families at high risk for hereditary cancer. The position participates in both research and teaching objectives and is required to track data and report outcomes accordingly. The position participates and may also lead grant-writing and performance improvement initiatives. A genetic counselor III candidate will have experience co-managing a clinical sub service of the Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program and/or at least 5 years of experience in cancer genetics and the demonstrated ability to function independently. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $56.46 - $94.73 (Hourly Rate).
