Security Officer - Residential Access Control

As a Security Officer - Residential Access Control in Pawleys Island, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a friendly presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, staying visible, and delivering excellent customer service to residents and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the residential location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal procedures.
• Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and staff, addressing questions and/or concerns as needed.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary in accordance with site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
