GENERAL FUNCTION

This entry-level role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in fashion eyewear design and development. As part of the Global Product Design and Development (GPDD) Team, the incumbent will support the Sunglass Design team in bringing innovative products to market, while learning the fundamentals of product lifecycle management and sample coordination.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Collaborate closely with designers, product developers, and external suppliers to ensure timely and accurate execution of design projects.
  • Enter and maintain accurate product specifications and costs in the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system.
  • Build and maintain design assets, including Design Development Sheets (DDS), line lists, and other related tools.
  • Manage licensor approval portals, including Disney's OPA system.
  • Support sample management activities, including: organizing incoming samples for designer approval; preparing samples for customer presentations; processing shipment requests; and maintaining NYO sample sets within the design cabinets.
  • Assist with supplier communication to troubleshoot and resolve product issues as they arise.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle a variety of responsibilities while balancing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills; works well both autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Previous work experience with consumer goods.
  • Previous experience working with PLM software.

Pay Range:23.39-36.46
