The Engine of the Data Cloud The FinOps and Billing team is the financial heartbeat of Snowflake. Every query, every storage byte, and every AI operations on Snowflake generates a signal. Our Cost Governance team operates at the intersection of Big Data and FinOps, turning this massive stream of telemetry into real-time financial intelligence. We are moving beyond simple reporting to build a proactive decision engine that helps customers view, control, and optimize their unit economics easily and efficiently.

We are seeking a Product Manager to help execute on the vision of Native FinOps at Snowflake. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and business value, working cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, and our Value Engineering teams. You will also engage with the broader ecosystem, including the FinOps Foundation, to ensure our standards lead the industry. Your mission is to transform cost governance from an operational necessity into a competitive differentiator, empowering customers to use Snowflake as their most efficient data asset.

AS A PRODUCT MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
  • Drive the Strategy: Help define and drive the strategy and roadmap for Snowflake's cost governance story.

  • Architect for the Future: Partner deeply with senior engineers and architects to innovate the underlying system and to keep our platform best-in-class.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the bridge between technical execution and business needs. You will align Roadmap priorities across core product teams, value engineering, finance, and sales teams.

  • Uncover Insights: Utilize data-driven governance to track key metrics (performance, utilization, margins) and uncover usage patterns that inform our next big bet.

  • Partner with Customers: Collaborate directly with Platform Architects at our largest enterprise customers to validate designs, gather feedback via preview programs, and solve their most critical scale challenges.

OUR IDEAL PRODUCT MANAGER WILL HAVE:
  • Experience: 4+ years of Product Management experience. Bonus points if you have worked on cost governance features and systems for cloud products and platforms.

  • Technical Fluency: You aren't afraid of complex systems. You can discuss API design, data schemas, and architectural trade-offs with engineers.

  • Analytical Rigor: You have a passion for decomposing large, ambiguous problem areas into clear specifications. You rely on data, not intuition, to make decisions.

  • Collaborative Influence: A track record of driving alignment on cross-functional projects.

  • Modern Prototyping Skills: Comfort using modern AI and design tools to rapidly mock up wireframes, prototypes, and PRDs to visualize complex workflows.

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
