Overview Reporting into the Head of Product, the Sr. Director of Product Marketing will oversee all workstreams related to optimizing the value of the entire Myriad portfolio by working cross-functionally with all areas of the company to ensure effective go-to-market strategies, lifecycle management, including introducing and launching new products, and optimizing existing products. The individual will have 4-5 direct reports who will have a pivotal role in working with the Product management team in recommending new products and enhancing existing ones. The individual and team will actively work closely with the downstream marketing team to drive the marketing of new products by developing go-to-market plans, supporting training of the sales teams, claims development and messaging, while also providing up-to-date competitive intelligence. Responsibilities
Lead team supporting commercialization and on-market product support for all of Myriad's products Working closely with the Product Management team, develop product positioning including determination of compelling value propositions, competitive positioning and sales initiatives by closely working with commercial teams and other internal stakeholders Lead message development and provide input on content creation and maintenance for the different customer segments in close collaboration with other relevant members of the downstream marketing team Manage departmental budget and/or administrative effort Support the Product Management team by helping to validate business cases for new market opportunities and proposals. This includes strategic plans, product definitions, market analysis and segmentation, collections of VOC, as well as product requirements Support the formulation of user needs and commercialization plans Consistently and independently interact and support market access submissions including providing technical descriptions and use case information Participate in sales meetings, seminars, industry conferences, and tradeshows Understand and actively assess the market: segmentation, dynamics, clinical trends, and regional regulatory landscape. Actively monitor industry trends to understand the competitive environment and anticipate market shifts and customer demands. Own the customer-driven process to define user workflows in different use settings. Drive successful key relationships with key customers to ensure understanding of emerging trends and successful adoption of new products
Qualifications
Master's Degree preferred in biochemistry, genetics, molecular genetics or molecular biology 12+ years' experience in B2B upstream product marketing, product management, or related role in the genomics required 5+ years of people management experience required including management of a product marketing function and team of product marketers 5+ years of experience focused on oncology space and products that are marketed to oncology healthcare providers Expertise in product marketing domain including demonstrated knowledge and application or strategies and initiatives in the areas of VOC, positioning, market research, market shaping, market access interface, competitor research, etc. - Advanced business acumen with the ability to synthesize complex scientific and clinical data into clear commercial direction.
Experience working closely with large field sales organizations and hands-on development of sales training and enablement Experience collaborating with upstream (product) and downstream partners including medical affairs, payer markets, and other stakeholders to create and execute product and portfolio marketing strategy Strong cross-function leadership skills, stakeholder management, and influencing skills Must have multiple years of experience in clinical content development, storytelling for products & portfolios, and establishing and implementing marketing strategy Must have experience supporting all stages of product launch:
