Security Officer - Distribution Center

As a Security Officer - Distribution Center in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a logistics and distribution environment.
• Perform screening duties at designated checkpoints, which may include verifying credentials, inspecting packages, and monitoring individuals entering and exiting the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site staff, and visitors to support a secure and orderly environment.
• Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, coordinating with local authorities and Allied Universal management when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
