Are you a proactive individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys making a difference? We're seeking a motivated Landscaping Assistant Project Manager to join our team! - Lead Day-to-Day Operations:
- Supervise and guide the team's daily activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards.
- Escalate issues as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure Safety:
- Enforce the use of safety gear and equipment safeguards, maintaining a safe and secure working environment for all team members.
- Plan and Organize Operations:
- Assist in the oversight of landscaping and maintenance operations, ensuring tasks are organized, scheduled, and completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain Company Standards:
- Uphold the goals, standards, and objectives of both the facility and the company, ensuring alignment with organizational values.
- Conduct Inspections:
- Assist with performing inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met and identify areas for improvement.
- Routine Maintenance:
- Manage routine maintenance tasks at the end of each workday, ensuring all areas are properly cared for and ready for the next day.
- Recruitment & Staff Management:
- Assist with recruiting, training, and scheduling staff members, ensuring the team is properly equipped to deliver exceptional service and maintain operational efficiency.
- Policy Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, maintaining the confidentiality and security of documents and data at all times.
- Attendance and Payroll Management:
- Assist with the tracking, computing, and adjusting attendance records and payroll as needed, ensuring accurate and timely compensation.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all operations follow relevant regulations, including health codes and safety standards.
- Premises and Equipment Maintenance:
- Assist in the oversight of the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of both the premises and equipment, ensuring everything remains in optimal condition.
- Set Expectations & Communicate Responsibilities:
- Communicate clear job responsibilities and performance expectations for the team, ensuring that all members understand their roles and duties.
- Maintain Cleanliness & Signage:
- Ensure cleanliness standards are upheld throughout the work environment, including proper signage and visual organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory, team lead, or management role, ideally in landscaping, maintenance, or facilities management.
- Strong understanding of landscaping and maintenance operations, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and practices, with a focus on maintaining a safe work environment.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
What We're Looking For:
- OSHA certification or other relevant safety training.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage customer relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Ability to address challenges and provide creative solutions in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring work meets quality standards and identifying areas for improvement.
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations.
Physical & Environmental Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly, and perform tasks such as moving equipment or materials.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for tasks such as operating equipment, handling cleaning tools, and performing inspections.
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, including varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) when overseeing landscaping and maintenance operations.
- Occasional exposure to dust, cleaning chemicals, and other materials in the work environment.
- Must wear appropriate safety gear, including gloves, safety boots, and eye protection, as needed.
- Ability to work in various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and emergency situations when necessary.
- Exposure to moderate to high noise levels from equipment, machinery, and team activities during operations.
