- Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.
Responsibilities
- The Respiratory Therapy Clinical Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and at times performing the clinical and medication administration aspects of the Respiratory Therapy Department.
- Under the supervision of the Director/Manager of Respiratory Care, he/she is responsible for financial and quality performance, supervising Charge Therapists, coordinating clinical department functions, and based on the expanded educational knowledge and experience, directing population specific respiratory care practices that address the biological, developmental, psychosocial, and clinical needs of the patient and/or family.
- This position is responsible for implementation, monitoring, data collection and documentation of process improvement activities.
- Performance of this job will also require a strong, close working relationship with the medical staff, respiratory therapy staff and Hospital leadership.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of Three (3) years of Respiratory Therapy experience and Two (2) years of leadership experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years' clinical experience to work in all critical care areas but not limited to Adult ICU, CVICU, BURN, NICU, Emergency Department.
- Current advanced NBRC credential including but not limited to ACCS, AE-C, NPS, SDS, RPFT obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science.
- NBRC credentialed as Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Oklahoma licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- ACLS, NRP, PALS.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Active member of the AARC and/or Oklahoma Society of Respiratory Care.
- B.S. degree.
