Department OverviewThe Avigilon Alta Access hardware team is responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing the physical access control devices that form the backbone of the Alta cloud-based security platform. This team creates door controllers, card readers, mobile credentials hardware, and integration modules that seamlessly connect to the Alta ecosystem, ensuring reliable performance in diverse commercial and enterprise environments.The team focuses on delivering cutting-edge hardware solutions that prioritize security, scalability, and ease of installation. They work closely with software engineers and product managers to ensure hardware compatibility with Alta's cloud infrastructure while maintaining the highest standards for durability, cybersecurity, and user experience across all physical access control touchpoints. Job Description The Avigilon Alta Access Hardware Team is seeking enthusiastic and talented Electrical or Mechanical Engineering students for our Summer 2026 Hardware Engineer Intern program. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the design, development, and testing of innovative physical security hardware solutions, contributing to the future of secure access.
