What You Will Do:

  • Ensure proper coverage at each position

  • Ensure all safety and HR regulations and policies are followed by employees and contractor personnel

  • See that budget control is maintained and improved wherever possible

  • Work with all Company departments to ensure a smooth, safe and amiable operation

  • Ensure that all oil movements within the Terminals are accomplished in a proper and efficient manner

  • Communicate with schedulers concerning consignment schedule of oil deliveries and injections to Connecting Carriers

  • Responsible for oversight of Emergency Response at Superior Terminal.

  • Collaborate with the Area Stakeholders and Area Safety Coordinator to ensure the effectiveness of the Superior Terminal emergency response system.

  • Participate in the planning and execution of regional and area emergency response exercises, meetings, and tabletop exercises.

  • Responsible for oversight of security at Superior Terminal

  • Ensure that operational activities at Superior Terminal are executed in compliance with LP and regulatory environmental standards.

  • Collaborate with Region Engineering, and operations personnel, and LP business groups to identify and resolve reliability and operational issues.

  • Manage and coordinate work activities, with coordinators, provide guidance of financial allocation of the Soil Management Area.

  • Ensure project work inside Superior terminal is collaborative with operations.

  • Provide oversight and guidance for Coordinator led Superior Terminal projects.

  • Provide Business Development guidance on new Superior Terminal projects.

  • Provide Design Review input for any Superior Terminal related project.

Who You Are:

  • Related university degree and ten-plus years' experience OR ten-plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of Company Operating & Maintenance Procedures and Policies, regulatory requirements, etc. Good working knowledge of welding procedures and qualifications, regulatory requirements.

  • Strong administrative and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 45pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Mental Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
