Course / Program Description UCLA Extension's Teacher Education and Credential Programs provide rigorous, practice-based online learning designed to help educators strengthen instruction, meet California credential requirements, and advance their professional effectiveness in today's classrooms. Courses are built for working teachers and emphasize immediately applicable strategies, reflective practice, and evidence-based growth. This online specialization prepares educators to effectively teach and support English learners through research-informed instructional methods, language development strategies, culturally and linguistically responsive practices, and assessment-driven planning. Candidates build capacity to design equitable learning environments and implement integrated and designated ELD approaches aligned to California expectations.
