School Success Team Coordinator F_TEP-Campus Employees Temporary Employment 87261BR Job Summary Please note: this will be for a duration through June 15, 2026. 32 hours per week; will require on-site work at China Basin campus. Must have Spanish language fluency. The Community Education Specialist I is an entry-level professional who applies basic concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity. This role works on assignments that are initially routine in nature and require limited judgment and decision-making. Incumbents are expected to build foundational skills and knowledge to perform more advanced work over time through structured training and development. This position will provide entry-level support to public school districts adopting and implementing Multitudes, a state-approved screening tool for early literacy and dyslexia. The role focuses on outreach, customer service, and ensuring smooth onboarding for districts across California.

The tool supports early identification of Kindergarten and First Grade students who may be at risk for reading difficulties, including dyslexia. Early identification enables early intervention-helping improve literacy outcomes and advancing educational and health equity across California. Multitudes is led by the ALBA Language Neurobiology Lab within the UCSF Department of Neurology's Memory and Aging Center, directed by Dr. Maria Luisa Gorno Tempini. The lab studies how language is organized in the brain across the lifespan and how neurological conditions impact language, memory, and cognition. The UCSF Dyslexia Center and the UCSF|UC Berkeley Schwab Center for Dyslexia and Cognitive Diversity work to improve identification, support, and outcomes for individuals with dyslexia through research, education, and partnerships with schools and communities.
