Position Overview

PSI is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist V to support and manage advanced personnel security functions for federal and contractor personnel. This role is responsible for reviewing investigative documentation, processing e-QIP packets, managing background investigations, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal personnel security regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the protection and integrity of sensitive personnel security data and program materials
• Review and process e-QIP submissions for federal and contractor employees
• Conduct comprehensive database and record checks in accordance with federal standards
• Perform detailed analysis of investigative materials related to personnel security determinations
• Prepare in-depth case summaries and coordinate investigative actions with internal divisions and stakeholders
• Develop, maintain, and update security program manuals, policies, and operational forms
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to junior personnel security specialists
• Support audits, inspections, and reporting requirements as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in personnel security or investigative roles
• Technical training or certification as a personnel security investigator or adjudicator
• Strong analytical skills with experience conducting complex database checks
• Working knowledge of criminal and civil law as it applies to personnel security
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI access, including successful completion of a security polygraph examination
