Job Details

The Depot Repair Technician I is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic equipment at a designated repair facility. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and testing equipment to ensure proper functionality. The Depot Repair Technician I may also be responsible for documenting repair processes, maintaining repair records, and communicating with customers regarding repair status. This position typically requires a strong technical background and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Document incoming and outgoing machines using software applications such as Oracle, Tulip and Microsoft Office.
  • Inspect incoming machines for necessary repairs, upgrades, or damage.
  • Repair machines by replacing or repairing circuit boards, mechanical sub-assemblies, and discrete components.
  • Refurbish machines by replacing worn components and cleaning exterior covers.
  • Perform final testing of repaired or refurbished machines.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts.
  • Meet key performance indicators, goals, and objectives.
  • Support the department's Operational Excellence journey by finding new and effective ways of working, deploying lean initiatives, and supporting related Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Comply with all ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Comply with internal environmental management system requirements, as applicable.
  • Accepts overtime and weekend work as necessary.
  • The working hours are Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts with flexible starting time from 5am-11am.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Electronics Technology, or closely aligned discipline, preferred
  • 6+ months of experience repairing medical, aviation, or industrial devices, preferred
