What You'll Do

Intern Program Begins: May 11, 2026

Intern Program Ends: August 5, 2026

Pay Rate: $18/hr

This position will be located at our Corporate Office: 2355 W Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85027

The Community Relations & Partnerships Intern supports the organization's mission by helping build and strengthen relationships with community partners, nonprofits, and corporate collaborators. This role assists in coordinating community outreach initiatives, events, and partnership programs that promote engagement and positive social impact. The intern contributes to research, communication materials, promotional items, and data tracking to support collaboration efforts and ensure meaningful community outcomes. This position is ideal for someone passionate about community development, relationship building, and creating lasting impact through partnership-driven work.

  • Assist with creating and supporting volunteer activities.
  • Assist with gathering volunteerism content for internal and external OneAZ social media platforms and intranet.
  • Support the planning and execution of community engagement initiatives and special events.
  • Conduct research on potential corporate and community partnership prospects.
  • Help prepare presentations, outreach materials, and reports that highlight community impact and partnership results.
  • Track and organize partnership data, volunteer hours, and event participation metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align community engagement efforts through promo items, t-shirt distribution, and branding elements. Assist in drafting communication pieces such as newsletters, social media posts, and partner updates.
  • Participate in meetings and provide administrative support to the Community Relations and Partnerships team.
  • Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner during community events and partner interactions.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

What You Bring

  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in business, marketing, communication, non-profit leadership or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite Software
  • Demonstrate a passion for learning and dedication for getting the job done.
  • Self-starter and a fast worker.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
  • Able to lift and transport up to 25 pounds.
  • A passion for people, innovation, and growth.
