Family Centered Trtmt Trainer

Family Centered Treatment (FCT) L2 Trainer
Washington County, located in West Bend, Wisconsin has an excellent opportunity for a full time Family Centered Treatment (FCT) Level 2 Trainer. Under the general direction of the FCT Supervisor, the FCT Trainer (L2) will receive oversight and training from the FCT Foundation Consultant or L4 Trainer as it relates to the provisions of FCT. The FCT Trainer (L2) will assist in the oversight of the training and certification of FCT Practitioners in the Family Centered Treatment program. The FCT Trainer (L2) will assist in training FCT practitioners, work closely with the FCT Foundation to certify and recertify Practitioners, and carry a small caseload of FCT clients.
Qualified candidates must possess:
*Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice or other related field.
*L1 FCT Practitioner Certification and is either in the process of obtaining the L2 FCT Practitioner certification or already has the certification.
*Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
Starting salary for the Family Centered Treatment (FCT) Level 2 Trainer is: $72943.26 to $83,157.53 (based on experience). Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Acute Care Services Supervisor and with support from the Jail Administrator, provides skilled clinical services to inmates of the Washington County Jail. Services may include, short-term individual and group psychotherapy, coordination of mental health and substance use care for inmates, case management, and discharge planning. Supports the execution and assurance of the Non-addictive, Non-narcotic, Injectable Medication (NNAI) Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) in the Jail program for inmates struggling with opioid addiction prior to discharge.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
*Performs psychosocial assessment interviews, obtains social history and other relevant background.
*Provides short-term psychotherapy for inmates in the jail setting.
*Ensures appropriate medical record documentation, which includes assessments as it pertains to Wisconsin Chapter 34 and progress notes.
*Participates in staffing by sharing relevant case material, clinical assessments, and treatment planning with jail staff.
*Provides leadership to jail correctional staff in the care and management of inmate mental health issues.
*Adherence to Wisconsin Chapter DOC 350, to include performing suicide risk assessments and makes appropriate recommendations for suicide precautions while in the jail setting.

*Serves as a clinical resource person for jail staff.

*Uses clinical information gained during interviews and psychotherapy services to coordinate services for inmates upon their release from the jail setting for appropriate services to ensure continuity of care. Coordination may include Washington County Health and Human Services programs or other Washington County mental health agencies as well as communication with agencies outside of Washington County.

*Undertakes preventative activities such as community education and consultation through public speaking and coordinated agency planning.

*Performs community liaison work and public relations work addressing mental health and substance abuse.

*Participates in staff development, student affiliations, and research projects, as appropriate.

*Coordinates care with jail staff and medical team; Communicates pertinent information on a timely basis, as required.

*Performs other duties as assigned, including responding to an emergency event.

Works under the general direction of the Acute Care Services Supervisor and Washington County Jail Administrator.

Decision Making:

Decisions concerning therapeutic interventions, treatment planning, and other daily activities are made independently.
Interaction:

There is significant interaction with the Washington County jail, community mental health providers in Washington County, and Washington County Law Enforcement
Essential Knowledge and Abilities:

Knowledge of appropriate psychiatric social work techniques; policies and procedures of the agency; applicable State, Federal, and County laws, rules, and regulations; and various community resources. Ability to make accurate assessments, help patients in appropriate treatment, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and interact effectively with other health professionals, patients and their families, and the general public. Able to fulfill physical demands of job, sensory demands (seeing and hearing), and cognitive demands (concentration, conceptualization, memorization).
Training and Experience:

A Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology. Minimum qualification: status of Qualified Treatment Trainee. Preferred qualification: Licensed Clinical Social Worker or a Licensed Professional Counselor and 3,000-hour provider status. A valid Wisconsin driver's license, available automobile, and automobile insurance are required. Experience with group and individual therapy, utilizing time-limited solution focused methods is preferred.
