This position, located within the Lifecycle Solutions and Services Solution Development department, provides solutions to complex customer challenges at the request of the sales account manager. The role primarily focuses on estimating solutions for software system modifications and upgrades for platforms such as DIT, DIQ, DCD, EMS, RWCS, and other legacy software platforms. The Software Consultant designs, costs, and proposes solutions that optimize aging customer control systems. This role requires up to 10% travel, including site visits and team events.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $115K - $169K at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will Do In This Role: * Engage with Dematic customers, account managers, and execution teams to analyze business needs and translate them into innovative software solutions. * Think creatively and strategically to position and support sales efforts across a broad range of solutions. * Influence Sales, Business Development, the Software Center of Excellence (COE), Software Application Engineering, Product Management, and R&D to ensure a cohesive approach to software implementation. * Collaborate on outcome-based sales playbook collateral and other enablement materials. * Support key opportunities, key account growth, and expansion of customer offerings. * Apply a positive, iterative, and solution-oriented mindset to problem solving. * Support front-end processes including prospecting, qualifying, and developing proposal documents and presentation materials using an outcome-based approach. * Provide technical guidance to customers regarding their software and digital landscape, integration strategy, and solution package (products and services) that will position them for long-term success and align with their enterprise-level Digital Transformation objectives. * Understand the design of complex integrated systems involving mechanical design, electrical controls hardware, programming, and software to develop complete solutions for customers. * Skilled in using evaluation techniques, ranging from simple "pros and cons" analyses to sophisticated Return on Investment (ROI) calculations. * Provide estimates for semi-complex software solutions to other solution development resources and teams. * Develop recommendations related to site productivity improvement, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction improvement. What We Are Looking For: * BS/BA in related engineering discipline or advanced degree may be substituted with experience. * 6-10 Years of experience in designing and commissioning automated material handling Warehouse Control Systems and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. | |
