Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for an Operations Manager (MES) to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Operations, Manager is responsible for developing and managing the Operations teams and processes to manage contract level delivery of operations and infrastructure services in accordance with Medicaid, Provider Module Service Level Agreements and Customer Service Delivery objectives. The Operations Manager must bring together a variety of technical and functional teams in a cohesive fashion in a large-scale, high-performance Business Operation Center environment
***This position is remote, however preferably candidates in the GA area***

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day management and supervision of the Operations functional teams and works independent of supervision from senior management.
  • Manages the Provider Services module during implementation into Operations.
  • Manages a typical team size of 2 - 12 resources on project with an annual budget of $1M - $5M and oversees direct reports within the Operations teams once in production.
  • Manages direct reports within Operations teams.
  • Monitors and manages compliance to Provider Module Service Level Agreements.
  • Assists Director in ensuring accountability for delivery of contract services.
  • Assists Director in serving as a liaison with Delivery and Technology teams for allocation of resources from those organizations.
  • Develops and implement policies and procedures for operations and infrastructure.
  • Continually evaluates user needs and system functionality to ensure that systems are updated and meet organizational needs.
  • Coordinates and leads daily team activities - May spend a portion of time reviewing the work of direct report staff members within the Operations and Infrastructure teams.
  • Assists senior leadership in providing input regarding management decisions and activities.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of operations methodologies, best practices, and procedures; and applies them to projects to ensure that objectives are achieved.
  • Determines, evaluates, and modifies plans to meet both current and future needs.
  • Handles work situations that deal regularly with future business issues, maintaining a focus on business strategy and objectives.
  • Manage resources (people, process, technology) across the Operations functional teams.
  • Partners with customers and analyzes issues and problems from the customer perspective.
  • Assists Director in supporting customer on projects, onsite as necessary.
  • Provides customer-facing presentations on status, quality and change requests.
  • Assists in ensuring appropriate use of all available resources within functional team and proper usage of unassigned time.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years of Healthcare Provider experience, including a 3+ years of management and operations leadership experience at large complex organizations, including leading centralized or matrixed teams or will take 10+ related business experience in lieu of degree.
  • Deep knowledge of Medicaid Business Operations Center, infrastructure processes and toolsets.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft office suite applications.
  • Domain knowledge of Medicaid Policies.
  • Experience with compliance of guidelines and service level agreements.
  • Ability to work well in a matrix team's environment.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and across functional lines internally and externally.
  • Highly organized with analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to task/project changes, possessing a demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects with varying priorities.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, facilitation) with strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Self-motivated, with ability to balance multiple projects under minimal to no supervision

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Master's degree.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in working under demands and needs of a 24x7 operational center.
  • Ability to use reasoning to troubleshoot, escalate and solve operational and technical problems.
  • Ability to manage people, projects, and processes.
  • Operational understanding with ability to communicate and translate impacts, root cause, and corrective actions into business concepts or layman's terms.
  • Ability to meet and enforce deadlines, to conduct research into operational issues and to take initiative in the development and resolution of the issue.
