JLL is seeking a dynamic and motivated 2027 Summer Analyst to join our team, contributing to our renewable energy and energy transition investment banking practice across the Americas. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in investment banking transactions while working closely with seasoned professionals in the renewable energy and low-carbon sectors.

About the team:

  • Focused on renewable energy and energy transition, providing mergers & acquisition, financing, capital advisory and merchant banking services to clients

  • Advises on transactions across renewable energy and energy transition technologies, including solar, wind, storage, green chemistry, EV infrastructure, carbon capture and others

  • Clients include public and private corporations, developers, private equity funds, infrastructure funds, asset managers, and institutional investors in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific

  • Lean, values-driven organization; much of our success comes through collaboration, mutual support/respect, work/life balance, and a diversity of backgrounds and ideas

  • Headquartered in New York, with an office in Chicago, and partnerships and consultants in the U.S. and abroad

About the Role:

  • The Summer Analyst will work as part of deal teams advising on investment banking transactions within the renewable energy and energy transition space

  • Responsibilities include assisting in the creation of marketing materials, client presentations, financial models, investment due diligence, industry studies, capital markets analyses, and other workstreams, while gaining valuable experience in client and investor interactions

  • Beyond transactional work, the Summer Analyst will participate in building the business and shaping JLL's strategies. This may involve engaging in research initiatives aligned with your interests in climate finance

  • The Summer Analyst will have the opportunity to contribute to new business development efforts under the mentorship of JLL's senior leadership

  • During the summer internship program, you will receive training, mentorship and guidance, along with regular check-ins and performance reviews

  • Compensation for Summer Analysts is competitive with elite boutique and bulge-bracket investment banks

Candidate Criteria:

  • Minimum 3.6 GPA

  • Demonstrated interest in the renewable energy industry and environmental finance is crucial

  • Strong financial modeling, accounting, excel, and PowerPoint skills

  • Relevant coursework experience in renewable energy finance and investment is preferred

  • JLL will also consider candidates with experience or coursework in investment banking, principal investing, project finance, corporate finance, power or energy

  • Entrepreneurial drive and preference to work in a boutique culture with substantial client exposure

  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire for career progression within a specialized boutique

  • Track record of academic excellence inSTEM, economics, finance, business, or related fields

  • The position is based in New York City with occasional travel requirements

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Estimated compensation for this position:

20,000.00 - 20,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
