Job Summary

The Associate Director of Human Resources is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of Human Resources initiatives to enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. The Associate Director of Human Resources serves as a leader to HR Coordinators, HR Consultants, or HRBPs, etc. The Associate Director of Human Resources collaborates with division, school, or college leadership on organizational objectives and partners with institute-wide departments to ensure consistency, compliance, and collaboration across the institution. Establish an HR team member goals monitor to ensure acceptable performance standards are met. Assist in the implementation of Human Resource programs and policies. This position will report to an HR Director, a college or division leader.

Sets performance goals, contributes to evaluations, provides feedback, and supports compensation decisions.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Assist in developing and implementing Human Resource strategies, programs, and initiatives that align with organizational objectives and promote employee engagement

Job Duty 2 -
Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being through communication, recognition programs, and feedback mechanisms

Job Duty 3 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Duty 4 -
Support recruitment and retention efforts by participating in talent sourcing, selection, onboarding, and retention strategies

Job Duty 5 -
Oversee employee relations issues, grievances, and conflicts by providing guidance, mediation, and resolution support to promote a positive work environment.

Job Duty 6 -
Contribute to the development and implementation of Human Resource policies, procedures, and guidelines that adhere to legal requirements and best practices

Job Duty 7 -
Support employee training and development initiatives by identifying training needs, coordinating programs, and evaluating training effectiveness

Job Duty 8 -
Assist in performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, feedback sessions, and development planning

Job Duty 9 -
Monitor and ensure compliance with Human Resource-related laws, regulations, and policies to mitigate risks and maintain a fair and comprehensive workplace

Job Duty 10 -
Prepare Human Resource reports, metrics, and analytics to track key Human Resource indicators, trends, and performance metrics for decision-making and strategic planning

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent, related experience

Required Experience
6+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory knowledge

Preferred Qualifications
Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional / Senior Certified Professional (SHRM CP/SCP)
HRCI Professional in Human Resources (PHR)

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree in a related discipline or equivalent, related experience
