Serves as the primary point of contact and liaison for prospective physicians and advanced practice providers both pre and post hire.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Master's degree in Human Resources or Industrial RelationsANDOne (1) year of professional Human Resources specializing in recruitment;

ORBachelor's degreein Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations,or other related degreeANDTwo (2) years of professional Human Resources specializing in recruitment;

ORAssociate degree inHuman Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or other related degreeANDFour (4) years of professional Human Resources experience;

ORHigh School Diploma or equivalentANDTen (10) years of experience within Human Resources specializing in recruitment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

1. Five (5) years of physician recruitment, human resources, or healthcare experience.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. They are not intended to be constructed as an all-inclusive list of all responsibilities and duties. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Works with the Marketing department in the preparation of promotional materials for new physicians.

2. Engages and builds robust relationships with physicians and APPs during their candidacy through the first 6-12 months of employment.Develops and maintains community relationships to insure the smooth transition of incoming staff into the community.

3. Manages onboarding and orientation activities of new Physicians and APPs. Collaborates with clinical department, medical staff office, provider enrollment and other appropriate departments to ensure a timely and efficient onboarding experience.

4. Prepares, customizes and facilitates comprehensive orientation and onboarding plans for each new provider. To include providing overviews and training on various topics.

5. Researches and identifies trends related to the recruitment and onboarding of Physicians and APPs. Updates processes based on best practices.

6. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations for all new hires.

7. Monitors pre-employment activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of background checks, drug screens, reference checks and documentation. Identifies bottlenecks and develops solutions to continually improve the process and candidate experience.

8. Analyzes onboarding process and data to develop new streamlined process and develop a great experience.

9. Responsible for managing the credentialing process in coordination with the Centralized Verification Office.

10. Establishes and maintains engagement with Medical Staff Office to ensure compliance and security record created in appropriate software for Physicians and APPs.

11. Facilitates new provider orientation process and educational sessions.

12. Provide full-cycle recruitment of physicians and APPs to include but not limited to:

* Recruitment plan and strategy development.

* Proactively sources to improve candidate pools by utilizing a wide variety of sourcing techniques such asweb searches, direct mail campaigns, cold calls, and other sourcing methods.

* Phone interviews.

* Management of onsite interview process and candidate travel.

* Reference checks.

* Post interview evaluations.

* Delivery of offer packages.

13. Engages with new provider from date of signed offer letter through first year of employment. Serves as a liaison with department administration, medical staff office, provider enrollment and benefits enrollment regarding issues of concern.

14. Enters and maintains signed physician agreements via the HRIS.

15. Collects and analyzes data related to the physician and APP recruitment process for the purpose of forecasting and planning purposes. Provides information to Sr. leadership for the purpose of planning and forecasting budgets.

16. Develops and maintains relationships with colleges, universities, and medical schools to promote opportunities at WVU Medicine / United Hospital Center

17. Enlists feedback from candidates to continuously improve the recruitment process.

18. Works with outside vendors to conduct provider gap analysis and assists in the development and implementation of action plans for closing such gaps.
