Job Summary

Position Objective:

The Technical Writer position is responsible for the creation of method sheets used in the manufacturing process of generator production. With some knowledge of shop processes, and through cooperation with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, and manufacturing, method sheets will be created to assist the shop in daily workstation tasks.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create method sheets with assistance from design engineering, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering technicians and quality department to align method sheets, bills of material, and routings to provide information in a timely manner to the appropriate locations in the shop.
  • Support shop with information as required.
  • Interact with other facilities in information exchange
  • Assist with creation and tracking for CAPEX
  • Maintenance spending tracking
  • Tracking of TCards

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred
  • 0-2 years experience; mixture of production and technical writing preferred
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Oracle/ARAS experience preferred
  • Word, Excel, Publisher skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Photographic skills
  • Knowledge of product and shop processes
