NS2 Mission is seeking a Web Developer (SME) to join our team located in Herndon, VA to design, develop, and maintain a mission-focused website whose primary content consists of learning and training videos. The ideal candidate is a self-starter capable of owning end-to-end website planning, development, and sustainment while serving as the sole developer on a small team. This role requires a technically strong developer who can independently research, troubleshoot, and implement custom solutions for both functionality and design. While working independently day-to-day, the Web Developer must also be comfortable collaborating with other developers and Sponsor web organizations (e.g., DO WEB) as needed to resolve complex technical challenges. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, deploy, and maintain mission-focused websites with video-based learning content Own end-to-end website planning, architecture, and implementation Research, troubleshoot, and implement custom-coded solutions to meet mission needs Develop and maintain website frameworks, layouts, and styling Ensure websites follow search best practices and usability standards Collaborate with technical partners, developers, and Sponsor web organizations as required Evaluate and recommend technical solutions that align with enterprise and mission requirements Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders Maintain attention to detail to ensure high-quality, secure, and functional web products Required Skills & Demonstrated Experience Demonstrated experience developing websites end-to-end Strong experience with PHP development Demonstrated experience using Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress Demonstrated experience with Joomla, including site configuration and management Experience consulting and collaborating with technical partners Experience evaluating and selecting solutions to meet enterprise and mission-specific needs Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences Demonstrated experience with: JavaScript / jQuery PHP HTML Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) Experience designing and implementing website frameworks Strong attention to detail Highly Desired Skills & Experience Experience working with Joomla modules, including writing or modifying custom modules Familiarity with AllVideoShare plugin and/or Joommedia Experience assisting customers in identifying and selecting best-fit technical solutions Experience with the Sponsor's WordPress environment Prior experience working directly with the Sponsor and internal IT partners Experience using Adobe products, including: Dreamweaver Photoshop Illustrator Completion of SASR training Position Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with FSP If you are seeking a role that creates lasting impact for our clients through critical and complex issues, working in a dynamic environment that offers opportunities for professional growth and new responsibilities, consider a career with NS2 Mission.
