Build your Career. Make a Difference. Presbyterian is hiring a skilled Clinic Research Coordinator. The research coordinator is responsible for recruitment of patients to clinical trials and adherence to protocol/regulatory requirements while the patient is on a trial.

Responsibilities:

The person in this position will have:

  • Must be able to read and understand complex study protocols and assess eligibility through review of medical records, etc.
  • Reviews and follows research protocols and maintains required records of study activities including case report forms, drug dispensation records and/or regulatory forms
  • Retrieve and review medical records (electronic and/or paper records)
  • Interviews research subjects
  • Reviews medical diagnostic tests, laboratory values/tests
  • Performs protocol procedures such as, but not limited to, consenting and interviewing patients, taking vital signs and performing EKGs
  • Perform phlebotomy as directed by the study plan and transport specimens to the laboratory
  • Accurately enter data on paper and electronic forms
  • Maintain accurate files and organized records for sponsor audits
  • Collect specimens, process, store and ship blood/tissue specimens as required by study
  • Tracks enrollment status of study participants and schedules/manages appointments in adherence with study windows
  • Records adverse events and works with investigators to submit to oversight agencies.
  • May participate in budget and protocol review of new studies
  • Participates in continuing education activities to maintain knowledge of clinical trials
  • Responsible for training
  • Prepares for audits/monitoring visits
  • Performs other functions as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical and/or regulatory research experience is preferred. Preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to interact with patients in a clinic/research setting
  • GCP/IATA certification and familiarity with FDA regulations is preferred.
  • Experience with informed consent processes
  • Experience with EDC and EMR (Epic) systems
  • Knowledge of IRB submissions
  • Experience supporting monitoring visits and/or audits
  • Experience with Phase II/III/IV clinical trials is preferred

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in related field plus 6 months related experience. 6 years of additional clinical research experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Clinical and/or Regulatory research experience preferred, Excellent organizational skills, Attention to detail, Ability to interact with patients
