If so, The Pfister is looking for a Cafe Cook Level III to join our Cafe Kitchen team and continue its tradition of excellence.

As a Cafe Cook Level III at The Pfister Hotel, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to order, supporting the cafe team, and ensuring that every dish meets our standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.

Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for 46 consecutive years. The hotel is one of only 11 properties throughout North America to maintain the AAA Four Diamond designation since the inception of the Diamond Rating program in 1976.

* Assist with preparation and cooking of breakfast, lunch, and cafe menu items.

* Complete prep lists and maintain station cleanliness throughout the shift.

* Rotate stock and monitor freshness of ingredients.

* Perform basic cooking tasks such as grilling, sauteing, and frying.

* Report any concerns regarding food quality to cafe supervisors or chefs.

* Assist in reducing waste and maintaining portion standards.

* Friendly and dependable team member with a willingness to learn.

* Basic knowledge of prep functions (cleaning produce, simple cooking techniques).

* Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

* Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

* Must adhere to Local 122 Collective Bargaining Agreement regulations, with the option to obtain union membership after 90 days of employment.

Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly (Union)

Pay Rate: $17.89 per hour
