Job Summary: Assess, develop, document, and implement a systematic approach to managing CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric's (CEHE) capital portfolio of projects and programs. This includes collaboration with subject matter experts to quantify and optimize the associated value, risk, and expenditures over the life cycle of those projects and programs. Make recommendations regarding all aspects of asset management based on CenterPoint Energy's business needs, profitability, and business risk challenges in an organized fashion. Advance the functionality of CenterPoint Optimized Portfolio (COP) software with the support of the IT department. Provide documentation of existing and desired practices for COP to properly score and rank projects and programs across multiple factors, such as customer value, reliability, resiliency, corporate risks, costs, regulatory requirements, etc. Provide semi-monthly updates to multiple business units and leadership on the execution of the capital plan, with recommendations to achieve corporate, operational, and financial targets. Essential Functions:
Education: Bachelor's degree required, Engineering preferred. A professional Engineering License in Texas is preferred. Experience: Requires a minimum of four (4) combined electric utility years' experience in one or more of the following: Distribution Engineering Distribution Operations Major Underground Substation Operations Substation Engineering Real-Time Operations Transmission Operations Transmission Planning Transmission Engineering Control Systems We want you to know What we bring to you
