Power - Tech I

Pay Rate - $23.00 per hour

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour worked between 12:00am-4:59am)

Job Description:

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on various power units and trailers
• Move tractor/trailer combination within the yard
• Assist in light duty mechanical repairs
• Inspect and repair tires as needed
• Perform road service calls
• Don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Qualifications:

• Previous exposure to heavy duty truck servicing is helpful
• Essential job knowledge of truck/trailer components and nomenclature
• Must be able to perform to established time standards for commonly performed repairs
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English, which includes reading and writing legibly
• Must have a valid California driver's license and driving record must conform to Foster Farms

• Must have the ability to move tractor/trailer combinations
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated
• Must be able to progress to a higher tech level
• Must be able to work safely and help maintain a safe work environment
• Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to continuously be on foot throughout the shift
• Must be able to climb in and out of trucks continually throughout the shift
• Must be able to bend over and squat
• Must adhere to Foster Farms and State Environmental Regulations.
• Must be able to work various shifts, overtime, weekends, and occasional holidays as needed
• Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
