Vantor is seeking an entry-level Geospatial Analyst who can perform basic GIS functions using ArcGIS to join our team in Tampa, FL!

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Bachelor's degree (any field) strongly preferred, but will accept current students and years of experience as substitute

  • Some experience and knowledge in Geographic Information Systems, including experience with the various geo-processing functions, data management, and data attribution.

  • Some experience with ArcGIS or ArcPro and its extensions, which is the principal tool used to analyze the data provided and develop map graphics.

  • Experience aggregating and manipulating spatial data, to include both vector and raster formats, in a consistent manner.

  • Be an integrated member of an analytic team consisting of multiple professional disciplines, often serving as the only geospatial analyst on a single project.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or certification in a geospatial discipline.

  • Experience processing and analyzing remote sensing data, particularly satellite electro-optical and synthetic aperture radar.

  • Familiarity with OGC

  • Organizational skills that allow for efficient multitasking.

  • Imagery analysis background

Responsibilities

  • Create and/or editing geospatial layers that are derived from internal and external sources.

  • Execute common GIS tasks to either build new layers or edit existing ones.

  • Leverage a basic grasp of topology and data attribution.

  • Collect, enrich, and aggregate open-source data for creating geospatial datasets.

  • Work with both vector and raster datasets that comprise of each dataset.

  • Ensure that optimal accuracy and spatial representation is achieved that is consistent with Open Geospatial Consortium (ODC) standards.

  • Task and manage imagery from Vantor satellites.

  • Assemble products following a designated template.

  • Find and fuse publicly available information with imagery.

It is imperative that you possess strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills, since the deliverables will be produced within tight deadlines.

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

The base pay for this position within California, Colorado, Hawaii, New Jersey, the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and for all other states is:

$52,000.00 - $70,000.00
